Skilled Nursing Facilities

Genesis Healthcare called on Madigan to add to or to renovate several skilled nursing facilities in their portfolio. The work took place in all six New England states. Most of the projects took place while the facilities were occupied and operating. Many involved complete renovations of resident rooms and bathrooms, while adjacent rooms remained occupied. Safety and health are paramount at all Genesis facilities, and close work with both on-site management and staff, as well as the staff of the Real Estate/Facilities department was a critical component of all projects. Detailed daily and weekly schedules and work routines were constantly communicated to Genesis.
Most projects involved renovating resident rooms, de-densifying resident rooms, upgrading finishes and accessibility in both resident rooms, bathrooms as well as common areas, refreshing public area finishes and components, and new entryways. We renovated or added infusion treatment rooms, bathing and shower rooms, physical therapy rooms, and nursing stations. We also added much needed parking space at several sites, and completely transformed the exteriors of other properties.
Genesis trademarked their “PowerBack Rehabilitation” facilities, and Madigan converted former skilled nursing facilities into high-end finished rehabilitation centers focused on short term stays for residents of all ages that are recuperating from surgery.
No matter what type of renovation or addition Genesis needed, we responded to the call, providing skilled teams to work in occupied facilities and provide a finished product worthy of the Genesis brand.
