Vehicle Service Building

Location: Shrewsbury, MA
Client: Wagner Motors
Architect: Koch Architects

Due to site constraints, the adjacent Kia dealership that Madigan was building for the Wagner Motors Group did not have its own dedicated service area. To solve the problem, Wagner utilized an adjacent parcel to construct a large vehicle service building. The building, connected to the Kia Dealership by a footbridge, has the ability to service Kia vehicles, Mercedes-Benz automobiles, as well as the larger Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. The structure was designed and built as a pre-engineered metal building, due to the cost effectiveness as well as the ability to not have any interior columns.

Extensive ledge removal was required to construct the facility, and construction proceeding through a harsh winter proved challenging for Madigan, but the service building was completed on time to coincide with the completion of the Kia dealership, as planned.
